Service and FAQ

We want to help you as a candidate get your documents underway to us as efficiently as possible, especially when you first make contact with us. We have therefore compiled a list of frequently addressed issues and posted our hints for you.

Invitation

We invite you in the first instance to telephone our consultants, who will offer you detailed information on the position and the company. This may also bring to mind consultants you have met in the past.

Regardless of how long ago you were in contact with us, it may make sense to send us a complete new set of documents for a new instruction. This can easily be discussed by telephone with the consultant concerned.

Candidates often perceive indicating salary requirements and period of notice at initial contact as critical points. Yet this information is important for comparing your profile with others. Therefore, key data regarding your availability (period of notice) and your income requirements should be clear cut. Equally, it is important that you assess your market value realistically. As the relationship continues, you are welcome to any feedback in this regard from our consultants.

In most cases, we donĀ“t have a closing date for applications. We receive most applications in the first two to three weeks of an advertisement appearing. Even if you only hear of an advertisement after the event, it is still worth telephoning the consultant concerned. Once a position is effectively filled, we remove it from our website and/or external online job markets immediately.

We are unable to make any general statements on how to best prepare yourself for an interview. It is crucial to examine your strengths and weaknesses and compare them honestly with what the position requires. This could be an important career decision and we therefore encourage you to take an open mind to the process.

E-Mail

E-mail is the ideal channel for contacting us swiftly in the first instance. All you may need to do at this time is sending your Curriculum Vitae and most important references. As the application process continues, we shall ask you to submit a complete set of documents containing all the relevant references and qualification certificates.

The E-mail address of the consultant concerned appears in the printed advertisement and/or on our homepage. Please apply for a particular position using this specific address. The general contact option on our homepage is available for speculative applications.

Any file attachments you send us should be no more than one or two megabytes. Larger application portfolios should therefore be sent by post.

Confidentiality

It goes without saying that we treat selection procedures as confidential. This applies in equal measure to the potential employer and to each contact with managers who are ready for a change. In the vast majority of cases, we cannot release the name of our client until an interview with one of our consultants takes place. You can set restriction notes to prevent certain companies from receiving your application, for example previous or current employers. Restriction notes should appear clearly in the covering letter to your application or in the body text of your e-mail.
